Sick Again....

Well, it has been a few weeks since I have posted. Not much has happened in the Robinson House. We celebrated our 1st Anniversary on October 20th. It was an ok day, I was off work all day but Jim went back to work, since his surgery. So after taking Emma to the vet with being sick, we went out to eat. Also, we went to see the UT game on Saturday with Jim's Brother and Sister In-Law. We won't discuss how that went. Anyway, I have been sick AGAIN. This time I have a sinus infection which turned into Bronchitius. YAY!! Not....I worked 1/2 day on Monday and Tuesday and was out all day yesterday. I am back today, but everyone is wondering why?!? I will tell you why?!? I have to at least get something accomplished. Anyway, I have lots of picture to post from the UT game, and other events that have been happening. Well I guess that I better get back to work....until later...

Fireproof Your Marriage

First, let me start out saying that the movie Fireproof is AMAZING!!!! We went to see it last night with our Community Group from Northridge. I wasn't really sure what to expect out of the movie, since I hadn't heard much about it. So we set out yesterday afternoon, Jim, Faith, Aaron, Geoff, Brittany, Jessica, Jess, Jessica's boyfriend and Me. The movie was about a firefighter(Kirk Cameron) and how he and his wife were having marriage problems. They had been married for 7 years and the marriage was slowly falling apart. Being a firefighter he lives by the moto, never leave your partner behind. So, after a HUGE arguement with his wife, she tells him that she wants out of the marraige. Then this is where the story gets good. His dad talks him into this challenge. His sends him a book call the Love Dare. This book list things to do for his wife for 40 days. This movie really made things clear about marriage, and that no matter how difficult things get you can't leave your partner "spouse" behind. I have to say if you do go see this movie, take a box of tissues. This is well worth the money to see it, and even more worth buying it on DVD. Well, I guess that is all for now, hope everyone has a great monday, and I will post more later!!

Lazy Sunday

Hey all! It has been a while since I have posted. Things have been so crazy at work and home that I haven't had much time to sit down. Let's see where to start....Jim's shoulder is doing better. He went back to the doctor for a procedure on Wednesday and can now move his arm much better. Emma is growing like a weed. She is about 20 lbs now and is mean as ever. Work is going ok, we have been really busy trying to get the cookies ready to promote along with all the other things I have to do. On Friday, I worked my normal 9-5 shift then I had to work our lock in sleep over from 10-8am. We had 350 girls at Fun Expedition and it was a loooonnnggg night.

Yesterday we went to the Apple Festival in Erwin. Let me say this as nice as I can....it Sucked!! I would have rather stayed home and slept than went to it. But I got a RADA knife from my parent out of the trip. Today, we have been really lazy. We went to church this morning then a quick trip to mom and dads and to wal-mart then we came home and relaxed. Tomorrow is Monday! Whooo...Not! I just need a week to do nothing, no house work, no laundry, no nothing...Maybe soon, I have 96 hours of vacation that i can take. Well I guess that is all for now. Not one of my most exciting blogs but I am at least making an effort..

One last thought....Sarah Palin KICKED BUTT in the Debate!!!

Ok, now bed!

Hump Day!

I know that it has been almost a month since I have posted. Things have been crazy! Let's see where to start.

Emma is growing like a weed. She is doing really well with going to the ballroom outside and hasn't had really any accidents lately. She also is starting to sleep through the night and not have to go out till morning. We are still working on that, but it is coming together.

The house is still great! I still need to get things situated, and decorated. We are trying to decided what we really want to do theme wise, but I think the decision is: Kitchen is going to be a resturant theme. Menus, wooden pizza spatchulas on the wall. Our space bathroom is done, the master bath is black and white, master bedroom is going to be live, laugh and love (red, white and black) the office is going to be Tennessee ( cant you tell i really love my husband) the space bedroom is going to have to be put off for a while. I cant decide what I want and I thought not many people come to visit so as long as I have a bed in there and the room is clean it is ok.

Lets see what else, oh yea work, we spent 4 hours in a staff meeting on monday! Yes 4 hours!! We were discussing our Staff dress code. It has gotten so silly, i was like we are adults lets drop it and get on with our lives. Needless to say, I hope we can just come to work looking professional and not have to discuss it anymore.

Prayer is needed for Jim. He has been out of work since May 28th. He is on disability for his shoulder surgery. Well he isnt getting much better, and it is starting to take a toll on him. We have been having a difficult time and things have been hard on us. Please remember him and also that he and I can continue to get through this difficult time.

Well, I guess that is all for now. I should probably get back to work. Have a great day!!

  • Emma greeting me with kisses

  • Having amazing friends that make me smile

  • Loving the fact that we are grilling out tonight

  • The beautiful sunshine, and birds singing

  • The pretty flowers=>
  • I was praised for a good job
  • The fact that I am wearing flip flops <3
  • My husband loves me
  • Waking up with him(even though he is on the couch)
  • Knowing that God is # 1 in my life and I am blessed

This is all I can think of for now. I might come up with more later. Thanks Keith for the inspiration:)

Changes in Our Life

Ok. So I am a slacker and I haven't posted in FORVER! Let's see. We got our house. It is amazing, and I love it more than ever.

It is the best thing we have ever done. We are slowly getting everything unpacked and decorated. I have decided that it doesn't matter how many kids we have that we are NEVER moving out of this house.

Also we have a new addition to our family. Her name is Emma, and she is 13 weeks old. She was welcomed to our family on August 4th. Jim loves her so much. Since he is still off work bc of surgery, she is able to be with him and enjoy not having be in her house all day. She loves her friends in the neighborhood, and enjoys going for walks. We love her so much and wouldnt trade her for anything.

Life has been very challenging lately, but things will look up. But that is all for the changes in our life. I will do better posting!!

Growing Up...Buying a House!

Well I know I haven't posted in a few days, but things here have been CrAzY!! I never thought I would be this nervous, sick, worried over my future before. After being married for 8 months, we are maing a HUGE step in our life together. We are buying a house. After many many hours of going back and forth, I think we have got the advantage. Until today, I totally lost it. We were talking to our loan officer, whom I have to say is AMAZING!! She was letting us know a few things, and I guess it finally hit me that we are less than a month away from possibly being a homeowner. I have dreamed my whole life for this, and now it is slowly coming true, and I am scared to death!!!!! Anyone that reads this and has been in my position, please tell me how you made it through. But I wanted to update everyone. I will add pictures soon!!!! Just say a prayer that we are making the right choices and that God will continue to bless us. Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Excited, but Nervous at the Same time...

Well I am back once again for a new post. The past few days have been super exciting in the Robinson home. NO..I am NOT Prego...It all started on Friday when I was bored at Jim's physical therapy appointment. So, I went driving around....then I come upon it, the most beautiful, amazing and wonderful house in the whole wide world. Sitting on the corner a corner lot my dream home. Perfect vinal siding, beautiful white porch railing, and a back deck to enjoy with our friends and family. So, I immediatly called the realtor about the house. Finally on Sunday morning, we got to see the inside. It was so perfect....After much discussion, we decided we wanted to make a bid. So, at 6:30 this evening, we placed a bid on our FIRST Home...and within 10 mins of leaving the relator office, the builder accepted!!!!! The only thing standing in our way is making sure the Bank will give us the loan. I dont really forsee a problem, but being a first time homebuyer it could hurt. So, please each person that reads this, say a prayer that something for once will go our way and we will have this amazing home. We go to the bank on Friday, so I will keep you updated...Until then...

Welcome to our life....

Well since everyone elseI know has a blog, I figured what the hey, I will make Jim and I a blog too. Well lets see...I am Sarah and I am married to an amazing man named Jim. We have been married for about 8 months now. We were married on the 3rd Saturday in October....Does that mean anything to anyone?!?! Well it means a lot to EVERY TENNESSEE fan in the world, that is the one Saturday in October that NO ONE, I mean NO ONE misses the Tennessee vs. Alabama game. So yes I not being a big Tennessee fan didn't know is small bit of info and planned my wedding day for Oct 20, 07. Needless to say, my husband had a HUGE big screen tv at the reception to watch the game and they LOST!! Anyway, enough of that, we live in an apartment here in town and are currently looking for our first house. We have no kids just yet, but I want to be a mother someday. I have some amazing friends in my life and I am so blessed. God has blessed me with an amazing man to share my life with and an amazing family. I work for the Girl Scouts, and I LOVE my job. Jim works for a plant making materials to send overseas. So here is the Robinson's in a small nutshell. I hope to share more about our lives with you.
